ABOUT KOH TAO
Diving - Koh Tao is a small island covering 21 km² in the Gulf of Thailand about 9 hours journey from Bangkok. It has become famous for its diving and snorkeling. With over 20 dives sites to choose from (seasonal) there is a wide variety of marine life to see. Again seasonally we get Whale sharks, bull sharks, black tip reef sharks and turtles. Throughout the rest of the year we can expect to see many variety's of angelfish, butterfly fish and groupers. We also get many variety's of the small marine life and some fantastic coral gardens.
The Island - There are three main towns on Koh Tao, the most popular place to visit is Sairee on the West coast, the coastline covers over 1.5 km's of sandy beaches and has many restaurants and places to stay to cover all budgets. Next we have the main business area of the island Mae Haad. This is where the main piers are located and again has many guesthouses and restaurants . Chalok Baan Khao, to the south of the island is a great place to relax and is very much the chillout town, here there are nice bars/ restaurants and a selection on all budget accommodation.
